HOST OF VOICES OF THE BARRIO

In 2017, Delgado won the distinction of Albuquerque Slams City Champion. The same year, Delgado and his Albuquerque slam team traveled to Laredo, Texas and took honors as the Southwest Shootout Region Group Piece Champions.

In 2019, he traveled to Fayetteville, North Carolina with his Mindwell Slam Team for the Southern Fried Regional Poetry Slam. The Albuquerque Journal and La Bloga featured the poet and his book Sell Me Insanity released in 2019 by Swimming With Elephants Publication). According to Delgado’s publicity release, “Marcial Delgado is just a vato from the barrio who fell in love with writing and poetry.”
